CAMERA CALL: HARBOURFRONT CENTRE SUMMER SEASON OPENING WEEKEND 

FREE music, comedy, kid-friendly activities and dance performances kick off the summer festival programming from June 30 to July 3, with acts like Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The Strumbellas and more

WHAT: Harbourfront Centre’s music-filled summer season is kicking off this July long weekend (June 30 - July 3) with free performances from Toronto Symphony Orchestra featuring renowned Broadway star Jewelle Blackman, JUNO award-winning rock band The Strumbellas, Crystal Shawanda, Kaláscima feat Andrea Ramolo and many more. Harbourfront Centre will also be bustling with art, comedy, food and activities for everyone, including kids! The full summer programming press release can be found here

WHEN: Friday, June 30 (starting at 8 PM) until Monday, July 3 (until 5 PM) - FULL SCHEDULE IS HERE

INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES: Interviews are available by request only on Saturday, July 1 11 AM-5 PM and much be scheduled in advance. Interviews are available with:

  • Harbourfront Centre’s Laura McLeod (Director, Cultural Engagement) can speak to the exciting lineup of live performances during opening weekend, and what visitors of all ages can enjoy while visiting Harbourfront Centre.
  • Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser (Barrett Principal Education Conductor & Community Ambassador) can discuss their free performance happening at the Harbourfront Centre’s outdoor Concert Stage that evening, including some special performances visitors can get excited about - including a Tina Turner tribute!
